You hate your husband because he hasn’t done a single chore in 10 years while you’re drowning, and that’s not healthy or okay! You SHOULD hate him! And also divorce him!
Hannah Evans (@hannahschaef)Fri, 23 Sep 2022 15:32 +0000
It’s not normal to hate your spouse. If you hate your spouse, you should see a therapist and/or get a divorce. The point of platforming all of these opinion pieces that basically say the same thing appears to me to be trying to discourage people, particularly women, from leaving

Never going to understand why people use "stale" issue autoclosing bots on github. Just because you haven't had time to reply to things or address issues doesn't mean bugs magically go away, and requiring people to bump or refile, especially on confirmed issues, seems silly.qdot (@qDot)Fri, 23 Sep 2022 18:16 +0000

Our shows have chapters baked in now, whoop whoop! This post details some of the challenges we had to overcome to get that done, including a brand new open source Elixir library for reading & writing ID3v2 tags.

To everyone who ever said I didn’t “look autistic”, know that I’m constantly running ActLikePeopleExpect.exe in my brain, am not always aware I’m doing it, and it’s eating up at least 50% of my RAM. It’s also the reason for a lot of CPU overheating.Doctor B (@TheeDoctorB)Tue, 20 Sep 2022 00:03 +0000

There have been discussions in the aftermath of the log4j vulnerability about whether or not open source is broken or sustainable, what we can do to improve the sustainability of the open source ecosystem moving forwards, and the entitlement of users and companies in expecting maintainers to fix their problems.

I've set up a self deprecation accountability scheme at work with a few other women, so that if anyone says "this is probably a silly question" or "this might be a stupid idea" someone else will message the group to tell them it's not stupid

This certainly happened, but I don’t think it was ever “the standard”. The fact that it worked, though, made me stoked 100% of the time. I’ll counter with the fact that when this happens, it almost always worked fine for the user.
