It was only a small addition but I'm rather proud that I'm a contributor to TinyGo v0.36.0 — it'll now work nicely with GoReleaser because build directories are created in the same way as big Go! 🥳 https://github.com/tinygo-org/tinygo/releases/tag/v0.36.0

Working from home/remotely is great, and I have been doing it for well over 14 years now. The feeling of isolation and disconnection is real, though, and having a safe virtual co-working space could help here. Ngl I hate that "build this from scratch" is common as part of interviewing. In 5 years of working as a software eng all I ever did was contribute to large codebases and build on top of existing code. Closest to that is prototyping for a tech design but even then you're not building in isolation...

I was… probably not gonna last much longer at NPM. I was doing really poorly just trying to do what was apparently needed. I wasn’t on a PIP but I was very close to it. And then I was just… given free rein and that’s when cacache/pacote/NPM5 & 6 happened It was kind of incredible [contains quote post or other embedded content]

Hey did you know that the two most productive people I have ever had on my teams have been people I was told to fire for performance reasons? This is why it’s so important to: 1) hear context from previous managers but not anchor to it 2) give people clear feedback and give them a chance

Whenever I have a friend help me negotiate a contract or something, they consistently get better results ($ + work-wise) than I do. I think it's because my way leads to negotiating price + work, but theirs negotiates more "what I can I get for the price". (approaches in the replies)
