This is interesting! I often bookmark things without commenting on them cause they're "this is interesting and I think others should read it, but I'm too lazy to write something about them", but I like the way you're splitting them as different types of post βΊ
Kind replies
Monty Python! People ask why I have a laptop called Majestic Moose
I've recently bought a house and I feel this statement π I don't want all the maintenance, but having a much bigger place to live for a decent amount a month is what convinced me
Felt my arm starting to slightly hurt about 2300, and this morning it's definitely a bit achey. But otherwise I'm feeling alright
I got to have one when I was in post-surgery when I had a ruptured appendix, and they're amazing! I recommend them to everyone who may ever get the opportunity to have it
So far still feeling pretty alright, no sore arm yet, and aside from a bit of a headache - that's likely due to not a lot of water while we were out in the sun today - I'm feeling good
Sending hugs π€
And why shouldn't they? It's up to companies to manage risk, and releasing the early Terraform versions as a v1.0 wouldn't have been the right call
Looks like it's Fastly https://twitter.com/IamStan/status/1402203462662754305
As it doesn't retain the history from the template, it may not be possible to update them easily?
I used to get really tired after having caffeine before finding out that if you're not hydrated, it doesn't affect as well - may be worth seeing if that helps?
It's actually "mansplain" not "man explain" /s
Woop, last one to verify it's sorted π€π½
Another reminder why hacking things together in a rush doesn't work π
Let's try that again..
That was one issue, the next is that refresh is still failing π€
May have been broken as I'd forgotten to issue refresh tokens π³π
I had a retro on May 4th so naturally ran a Star Wars themed one, and was pleasantly surprised by how its not the ubiquitous thing I thought it was!
And it's working!
Helps when I use the right classes
Today in "can I actually write multithreaded code"...
Could even put them on https://weekendsontechtwitter.substack.com/ ?
I use https://aperture.p3k.io/ as the #Microsub feed reader - supports more than just RSS and has a tonne of clients like https://monocle.p3k.io/ or https://indigenous.realize.be
I know it's not the intent of this post, but something I see mostly would be "a ridiculous level of gatekeeping" π
Congrats Joe ππ½
I'm replying to you from my blog! Front page is at https://www.jvt.me and just blog posts are at https://www.jvt.me/kind/articles/ but there's a tonne of content of other types, like replies, likes and what I'm reading βΊ
Micropub refresh_token was out of sync - this should now be the last one π€π€
Hopefully this may be the last piece of evidence I need it's sorted π€
I need to finish the migration, at least - just sorting out read-write secrets from pods!
Well, that is once I finish migrating...
Sorry for the late reply - thanks for this info folks. That'd be useful, and would allow us to deprecate all sorts of things, especially going forward ππ½
I'm on six months and only a couple of them so far π
Thanks, that's good to know. Do you think it's worth me raising an issue for this as a feature request to see if it's something the wider community wants?

Thanks - is the best way to get through to them through applying? Couldn't see anything obvious for contacting them
Woop! I'm seeing a 404 when I refresh your first post - not sure what's up π
Nice, glad the government is as forward thinking as I thought you would be π any idea how technical/hands-on the role would be, or would it be more standards building / building stuff around standards and then telling people how to do things?
π That looks pretty enticing! I don't see any mention of tech stack, is there anything you can share?
https://www.jvt.me/posts/2021/03/31/git-origin-head/ may be of interest as a fairly well supported way of getting upstream default branch - I'm interested in this too though so I'll have a play with it tomorrow too

Sorry the tag didn't work properly the first time Daryl Cecile and Project Function
Because https://www.jvt.me/posts/2020/09/01/against-online-tooling/ I've got a utility called unpack
which unpacks/pretty-prints things like JSON, JWTs, Base64 etc. Then I use pu
which is a platform agnostic way of piping clipboard into unpack
I've been asked about not posting the full content on the feed as all my content has made the consumer hit size limits on their feed reader π
Many people I know find it exclusive, even when it's clearly not meant that way, but still doesn't sound great ie "well done to the guys in that team". Even if you and your team treat it as a gender-neutral term, it's not gonna be seen the way outside of your group so it's always better to avoid it
It's a me, ku-ber-ne-te!
https://www.jvt.me/posts/2017/06/25/blogumentation/ is pretty popular at the moment, and drives the reasoning behind most of the content of my blog π₯³
