I think it is a mistake to tie career ladders to years of experience, and that instead they should be defined by the scope and scale of projects someone is able to execute independently on. Great article from Pragmatic Engineer but this career/experience ladder seems off to me. Not looking to gatekeep but I’m surprised one can be called a senior engineer in 3 years.
