Apple Podcasts | Spotify | Google Podcasts My view on developer experience and productivity measurement aligns extremely closely with DX’s view. The productivity of a group of engineers cannot be measured by tools alone - there’s too many qualitative factors like cross-functional stakeholder beuracracy or inefficiency, and inherent domain/codebase complexity that cannot be measured by tools. I do kinda wonder what it's like to be someone who's designed, developed or built something that you later realise was bad for humanity? Like, at the time it felt right, you didn't see problems with it, but later you're just like "whelp, I fucked up" I imagine it must be a very depressing and isolating feeling. (I've luckily so far never had this happen to me)

Company where most teams are globally distributed: Everyone must come into the office now! It will make you more productive. You will spend all your time doing either: 1) Looking for a free room for a video call. 2) Being alone in a room, video chatting with people in other offices. 3) Getting kicked out of your room because other people need to be alone in the room for video calls. Aka "magical hallway conversations"
