If a company has not done layoffs in 2022, be very skeptical of their hiring. People will tell you things are going great and they're not planning layoffs. But things can change real quick. And new hires are on the chopping block first.

Urgh! Yet another thing that #MacOS can't do which is standard on #Linux. I have my monitor connected to my MacBook using HDMI. Sound comes out of my monitor. It is *impossible* to control the volume of the Mac once it is connected. Laptop volume buttons just show the 🚫 symbol when pressed. It's a work Mac, so I can't install any software on it to change this behaviour. But, frankly, why should I have to? Every other laptop works fine with an external speaker. Why are Macs so crap?
