This content type is full of IndieWeb post types, which are all content types which allow me to take greater ownership of my own data. These are likely unrelated to my blog posts. You can find a better breakdown by actual post kind below:
Whether it's Joe Biden paying $22 billion to bolster the Ukrainian military, or Elon Musk paying $44 billion to see Hunter Biden's penis, both sides have spent a lot of money on powerful weapons.
congrats to Jack Dorsey who went from texting his friend Elon Musk to buy his company Twitter to being doxed by his friend Elon Musk, the new owner of Twitter, and being harassed for the rest of his life by QAnon because he has the word “pizza” in his email address
Republicans claim to be the party of “freedom”.
But they want to decide your gender, your sexuality, your pronouns and if or when you have kids. They want to decide what you do with your own body, how, why, when and with whom.
That sure as shit doesn’t sound like freedom to me.
Hard to think of a better demonstration of how the capitalist system is inherently unfair than the fact that the world's richest man is demonstrably shit at running a business

All the recent Twitter drama has obviously sparked renewed interest in Mastodon and the fediverse, and that’s even …
If I was Hunter Biden, I might be tempted to send the GOP a thank you note for making my dick the seriously most-talked-about dick on Twitter, for days now. Money can’t BUY their level of fascination, that is ORGANIC ha
Resist the urge to "reduce noise" by answering questions in private. "Let me DM you." is an anti-pattern that prohibits learning by lurking.
So are tightly scoped & many private channels: they tend to reinforce "us" vs "them" boundaries and limit information sharing.

Yesterday I had a Zoom call with a famous AfroLatina actress who told me she has been trying to get the rights to one of my books for 20 years. I had repeatedly told my TV/film agents I wanted to work with her. Her handlers and my handlers never introduced us. 1/
I remain completely fascinated by the way programmers develop physical metaphors for the abstract work we do, in our heads. And how much sense those metaphors make for us.
I was just thinking about stack unwinding and how I have a pretty good concept in my head of "throwing" something up a stack that gets "caught" dynamically somewhere else (as opposed to a lexical unwind/break).
Like, how did my brain even develop these metaphors in the first place? It's so weird and so cool. I love programming.
Cookie consent popups seem like they’ve been engineered to get people to opt in to less privacy. Like the net effect is privacy is worse now as most users have no idea what they are clicking.

I look thru all the new user's answers to 'why do you want to join this instance?" Mostly to prune our spam:
But I *had* to share this one reason given by a new user tonight - anonymously - because it's so great and so much of the reason I started this instance in 2019, and why I strongly suspect it is the reason so many of you are here too.
