This content type is full of IndieWeb post types, which are all content types which allow me to take greater ownership of my own data. These are likely unrelated to my blog posts. You can find a better breakdown by actual post kind below:
Ok bear with me, this will sound like a terrible tourist thing, but walking around Covent Garden with a mulled wine after dark on a cold, clear evening is still one of my favourite winter in london activities
Here's a screenshot of Steve's tweet for anyone in the future pursuing an Age Discrimination lawsuit against Teller (teller.io) or its CEO, Steve Graham. Subpoena Twitter for the contents of tweet ID 1593822664707039233. Hope this helps!
It's the absolute lack of respect or decency that turns me off. Musk is notorious for being horrible to work for (see all the lawsuits or, you know... any of his behavior recently.) The moral fiber of a leader is pretty damn important. I'm not convinced he has any.
Imagine I overpay for your company, fire your respected leadership and then tell you to do twice as much work for less comp.
Then I offer you 3 months severance right before the holidays, or a stimulant-addled offer to "go hardcore."
There's no equity. Why be a sucker?
Imagine not turning Elon into a prophet and actually examining the lack of vision & narrative that’s been communicated by this new leadership team.
Then imagine being forced to work in chaos while he figures it out and you have other attractive places you can work at
In case you’re wondering, @stevegraham had the totally original idea to create @teller which appears to be a worse @Plaid or @finicity (and it’s HARD to get worse than Finicity) or about a billion other similar companies.
He’s a big-thinking hard-working original!
Stephen Fry used to loudly quit Twitter every time people disagreed with him so I don't think he should be doling out advice to trans people about accepting Jowling Kowling Rowling's vitriol.
There’s a time when I did - and loved doing - late night coding sessions, and had no problem working overtime.
I was young, cared little for sleep and had no family.
Create a culture that expects long and late hours and you’ll attract this demographic. It is often deliberate.

Amazing how many people have reached out to me over these photos with @elonmusk.
Late night coding sessions + whiteboards are at the heart of what this industry was built on.
I don't want to point fingers publicly without more proof, but there is some fairly compelling evidence that at least 1 person involved in organising this conference was also involved in setting up a fairly dubious looking PPE company during the pandemic.
I have a simple rule of thumb with new conferences… if you cannot easily figure out anyone involved with it in advance, you probably don’t want to attend, speak, or sponsor.
I made this point directly to Modern Frontends when they were asking for speakers. I recommended they put clear details on the site. They dismissed it as something only I (and one other guy??) cared about.

Management tip:
BEFORE firing or alienating 75% of your staff, it’s a good idea to understand the significant design decisions that shape the form and function of the software and hardware that defines your business FIRST.
The story of how I could steal credentials on Infosec Mastodon with a HTML injection vulnerability, without needing to bypass CSP. Everybody on our Twitter feed seemed to be jumping ship to the infose
Infosys has a lot to say about security You can check out their website for a lot of buzwords , but it’s clear from all the stock photos that they take security Very Seriously Indeed ™️.
However, from what I’ve found recently, it seems that Infosys use the following Comprehensive Management-Endorsed Proficiently Driven Cybersecurity Strategy and Framework items:
Don’t use AWS roles or temporary credentials for your developers Instead, use IAM user keys and give them all FullAdminAccess permissions Never rotate these keys and store them as plaintext in git Use these keys to protect what appears to be medical data about COVID patients Have someone publish those keys and the code in a public package to pypi Keep those keys active for days after leakage Make nonsensical pull requests to try and remove all references to the leak The Leak This morning I woke up to a very strange pull request on my pypi-data project.
I am really disappointed to see prominent voices in our leadership at Salesforce promoting things that are the antithesis of our culture and our values.
The fact that I can say so without expecting to get fired shows we're still different. Let's keep it that way.
Show me another CEO that has more skin in the game at 1AM in the office.
These young engineers are learning from the most innovative person of the twenty-first century.
Tesla is recalling more than 321,000 vehicles in the U.S. because tail lights may intermittently fail to illuminate, the company says. nbcnews.to/3geBVa4
Musk with Twitter is like one of those stories about a trust fund kid who buys a million dollar Ferrari but doesn't have a clue how to drive it and totals it the first night he takes it on the freeway.
Since it's #InternationalMensDay, here's a thread of every part of the gynaecological anatomy that is named after a man, with a bit of trivia about each man. Some of the bits are very specific. Before you ask, there are no parts of the gynaecological anatomy named after women...
I have a blog, on a domain that I own, with an rss feed. For a while it felt a little outdated, but now I'm happy I stuck with the thing I felt was right.
