Hard relate to this for people saying get a dog for depression. Can't be depressed if you're too sleep deprived and exhausted in life to think about your thoughts 😂
Just released s3-credentials 0.13 - the latest version of my CLI utility for creating IAM credentials for accessing an S3 bucket (which is surprisingly difficult to do without a custom tool!) github.com/simonw/s3-cred…Simon Willison (@simonw)Fri, 12 Aug 2022 18:24 +0000

An ode to well-written READMEs. Detailed, but not overly so, and scannable with examples.
An American man sick of slow download speeds and sky-high bills built his own broadband network - now the government is paying him £2.1 million to expand it to more houses in his area

Yes the specific issue of controlling every aspect of women’s lives so women get the message that they are second class citizens.

I will break this "dress code for girls" in every single technical talk I give. I will try to break as many points as possible. I will not address it onstage. And maybe the audience will internalize the message that femmes get to have bodies, even in intellectual contexts.Post details

This is an example of the fragility of men. Women must dress “modestly” as not to arouse men during serious study. We tell girls their bodies should be covered & don’t teach boys 2B better. Obviously we need *some* boundaries but the onus of dress codes shouldn’t be on girlsDeath Swag (@deahshaw)Thu, 11 Aug 2022 15:18 +0000
They arrested the developer of tornado cash. 🚨 I repeat: a man was arrested for writing code that served as a public good for people to maintain their privacy online. They put a man in jail because bad people used his open source code. This cannot stand in any free society.RYAN SΞAN ADAMS - rsa.eth 🦇🔊 (@RyanSAdams)Fri, 12 Aug 2022 10:55 +0000

Is the NHS failing you? In July, a record number of A&E patients waited more than 12 hours to be admitted. Enabling authorization policies across disparate cloud-native environments such as containers, microservices and modern application delivery infrastructure is complex and can be a roadblock for software engineering teams. Open Policy Agent, or OPA, is an open, declarative, policy-as-code approach to authorization that reduces security and compliance burden for engineering teams. During one of my layoffs the CEO cried on the Zoom call. They refused to give me more than 2 weeks severance or extend my healthcare at all past the end of the month (after several years working there) and they cried on the call. It was all I could do not to scream…
