I sick of the #vegan naming their plant based food after meat so Iβm getting my own back. Fresh in the counter today we have these lovely fresh carrots made with 100% fresh minced pork, glazed with Italian herb dressing and garnished with fresh parsley.πTom the butcher πͺ (@tomsuperlegoman)Sat, 22 Feb 2020 10:00 GMT
You can be a paradox. You can sound confident and have anxiety. You can speak in public and be a wreck. You can look tough and cry. You can be attractive and feel abhorrent. You can have everything and feel nothing. You can know there is no hope, and there be hope.Matt Haig (@matthaig1)Fri, 21 Feb 2020 22:57 GMT

Short version: 1. Own your data 2. Use intrinsic HTML features to provide simple protocols for data/service discovery (microformats, <link rel>, etc.) 3. Keep the APIs for interop simple Much of the inter-site communication is via Webmention which is incredibly simple.fluffy π (@fluffy)Thu, 20 Feb 2020 21:09 GMT
A passport is only worth the rights it confers. It means nothing inside ones own country. This passport is weaker than the one it replaces, symbolising the removal of our rights to move and operate freely across our own continent. It therefore represents abject political failure.

Blimey! It finally happened. At some point in the last few months, @Bitly closed down this privacy hole. You used to be able to add a + to *any* bitly URl to see *all* its statistics. Now you can only do it for your own links.Post details
This is why we don't use bitly in our work. *Anyone* can add a + to the end of the URl and see where your traffic has come from. Are your users happy knowing you're leaking that data to the whole world?Terence Eden (@edent)Mon, 05 Aug 2019 15:01 +0000

I'm noticing that my writing is changing for @CronWeekly. Instead of "reporting" on news/projects in a neutral fashion, I let my own opinions slide in more.
