You know what's *actually* the craziest part about being gender non-conforming? When you realize you can just be whoever you want, whenever you want. If I get tired of being a girl in 10 years or whenever, I can just stop being a girl. Yeah, I'll have a vagina and stuff but like, I could just throw on some mens jeans, a men's tee, a baseball cap, and stop shaving. I wouldn't have a beard or anything anymore and maybe people would still gender me as female, but like, 🤷♀️ Gender is personal on an intimate level, but also meaningless on a societal level. I spent 30+ years looking like a guy. I've always been a girl but people thought I was a guy bc of how I dressed mostly. But now I dress like a girl and take some hormones and people think I'm a girl. Gender is dumb. Be trans. Do crime.

If a cisgender person gets upsetti spaghetti because you used the Latin prefix cis- to describe them, I think the best thing to do is comply with their request and use the Greek synonyms homo- (same) and hetero- (different) instead. Problemo solved, my homogender buddy.

I really don’t get why baby books are gendered. When it labels the unborn child the same sex as the baby I’m having; it flows fine; but when they name it the opposite I feel like I’m reading the wrong book. In a language where we have a non-gender option of words; it’s interesting to see in a book how comfortable they are at switching the unborn child’s gender.

If all goes according to plan, in four and a half weeks’ time I’ll have a vagina. Fuck. A year ago this felt unattainable, a pipe dream, a vague concept, and now it’s really finally happening. Assuming everything runs to schedule, I’ll be healed and back on

Genders are like pointers. For a lot of people, they point to one of two static options. For some people, they’re null pointers. For others, they point at an octopus emoji. Tag yourselves, I’m 0xc000088050Lucy Davinhart 🍓 (@LucyDavinhart)Sun, 30 Jan 2022 11:17 GMT
