As someone coming off a decade of working there, I can tell you with some confidence that “you should use Firefox despite Mozilla’s leadership” is far more true and has been true far longer than you realize. But you should also understand that original market-share vs ceo salary meme is a creation of Brendan Eich, presumably born of a grudge, and notably elided his tenure as CTO, during which the worst of that decline happened. You should still use Firefox though.

Nah, because their whole thing was always about minimal profits and reinvesting in growth. It’s a culture society needs more of, but it’s definitely vulnerable in the short-term. Hoping they come back with a vengeance.

Mozilla's work on Firefox is a drop in the ocean of the impact Mozilla has. Advocacy, policy, research, developer tooling, standards work. I don't know what your specific issues with Mozilla's current behaviour are (happy to discuss) by I respectfully disagree. We need them.
