TOP TIP: I turned on a filter in settings that mutes all tweets from accounts which haven’t confirmed their e-mail & mobile number. Amazingly it has instantly wiped all racism from my feed, coz surprisingly people who express those kind of views don’t like being identified.James Wong (@Botanygeek)Fri, 09 Jul 2021 09:39 +0000
If a random stranger isn't arguing with you, are you really on Twitter?

I have done it. My profile banner now shows my latest 3 followers! Update every 60 secs. Nope, unfollow and follow again won't work, sorry 😂Tony Dinh 🎯 (@tdinh_me)Wed, 26 May 2021 15:50 +0000

OK! Here's how to completely remove the Trending section of Twitter *without* having to install plugins, adblockers, CSS, or apps. Visit twitter.com/settings/trends Set your location to China China only has one trend: "Beijing" Tap "I'm not interested in this" 🥳 Trends is now goneTerence Eden (@edent)Fri, 12 Mar 2021 17:32 GMT
Absolutely NONE of y’all. You think your tweets compete with Netflix? Disney plus? Please. I’m literally tweeting this from the toilet. twitter.com/austen/status/…Scott Hanselman (@shanselman)Fri, 26 Feb 2021 15:44 GMT
I'm building a little thing to turn Tweets into an SVG. Here's the first result. What do you think? It isn't intended to *completely* replicate the Twitter experience - but to be a lightweight way to embed content. Thoughts?Terence Eden (@edent)Sat, 06 Feb 2021 10:42 GMT
People keep asking me how I went from 143 followers to 150 in just 6 months. Let me tell you it has been a journey. A thread 👇Steve Lamar (@StevejLamar)Sat, 21 Nov 2020 13:09 GMT

TIL that Twitter doesn’t store tweets in one place, for read efficiency it stores one copy of the tweet in each follower’s timeline. Except for celebrities with lots of followers. I suspect this is the real reason we still don’t have an edit button.Kieran McHugh (@kieranmch)Thu, 29 Oct 2020 11:06 GMT

If it helps, I see it too pretty regularly
Having seen some vile comments on otherwise sensible threads, I'm rather pleased with this ability to limit replies. I don't see it as much different to moderating comments on your blog. Yes, Twitter is a walled garden, but that doesn't mean you can't prune the weeds.Terence Eden (@edent)Tue, 11 Aug 2020 18:58 +0000

Platform-Aware @-mentioning People on my Blog (2 mins read).
More easily mentioning others on my posts, and improving my interactions with Twitter syndication.
A tool created by Kevin Marks to make live-tweeting much easier. Just had a demo at https://2020.indieweb.org/london and it looks really useful, especially with threaded Tweets.
What's the jvt.me

Answering why there are links to jvt.me

How to Extract a Twitter Profile URL (But Not Status URL) with a Regex (1 mins read).
A regular expression to match Twitter Profile URLs, but not Status URLs.
This is a great idea! I may have to look at the same.
I'm also hoping to start to start publishing from my site first and then having that send the tweet afterwards using https://brid.gy/
