Week Notes 24#43

• Circles - Yoe Mase was been very much on repeat, such as 🔥 new release
• Realised the heated floor in the loft room has been on - accidentally - for a couple of weeks 🫣
• Accidentally spilled some tea on Cookie as she ran past me up the stairs 🫣🥺 She was OK, but soggy and smelled of tea for a few hours, even after we dried her off
• Started digging into using OpenTelemetry for CLI apps - both for some pieces at work, and also with dependency-management-data
• Got my Tidelift hoodie which is so incredibly soft and very cool 🥰
• Did a cleanup of the tupperware cupboard, so 🤞🏼it doesn't make us want to die each time we open it, at least for a week or so
• A busy week at work, finalising my insights for leadership into some insights around Open Source usage, with ~90% of it derived by dependency-management-data 🔥
• A nice weekend with Sarah and the kids
  • Been nice to have them to stay, and they've been very cute 🥰
  • Made a ham, which wasn't quite as big or as tasty as I'd hoped, but was good
  • Had a very 😋 Rakki Rakkas tonight
  • Cookie's been - for the most part - very good with the kids, Anna's parents coming for lunch too on Saturday, and not being allowed to jump on everyone or play with the kids' toys, and we're very proud of her
• Clocks went back today, so feeling a little bit more refreshed

In dependency-management-data:

• Been making some very good progress on renovate-diff
  • I'm almost finished but still doing some final tweaks to make the output more consistent, actually correct, and clean up some of the chaos of the trial-and-error code
  • It's definitely not the most performant code and has been fun interesting trying to rethink about some of the algorithms and data structures-y things that are needed
  • I'm very excited to get it finished, and it's already been making a big difference for my work setup
• Fixed an issue this afternoon with renovate-graph that meant the -example project's data was missing quite a few repos, and may have caused some impact to other folks
• Almost finished support for Renovate's inbuilt Report functionality (which I started after finishing these Week Notes)
