Week Notes 25#02

• Batch Bunch on Monday was good 🚀
  • Was good to see folks, and there seemed to be some work done which was good
  • it was a bit noisier than I'd expected in Dice Cup so a little harder to hear
  • Ended up making a good bit of progress on looking into using ObservableHQ for DMD visualisation
• Started playing around with writing a Matomo plugin, so I can create my own view of my current traffic, as I like having a window for my stats up all the time, but wish I could do a little better with focussing on the metadata I care about a little more
  • Did some OS maintenance on my VPS and ended up causing a few mins of downtime 🫣
• Had a lovely walk at Gravelly Hollow with Carol and Juno, and then making a good dent in the leftover Christmas cheese and sticky toffee pudding 😋
  • Was a lovely walk and tired us all out!
  • The doggos were mostly good over lunch, and settled down really nicely 😻
  • And Cookie's so sleepy this evening 🥰
• Set up a recurring daycare day for Cookie
• Exciting to see the Release Drafter maintainers picking up the backlog and including a contribution of mine to correct @-mentions for bot accounts
• The booking for Elastic's Engineering All Hands in Vegas is now open, so looking forward to having my travel all booked
• Had a good end-of-week 1-1 with Joe after a bit of a frustrating week
• A quiet-ish week of on-call, which was slightly worrying given it's usually noisier
• Finally booked the MOT, our first one since buying the car last year
• Thought I'd resume using TikTok this week, ahead of the ban in the US
• I've had Paradise - Koastie, Z3LLA on repeat a fair bit this week
• Had a good Asda pizza 😋
• Started on my talk for Stat eof Open Con
