- Was nice to have a day to focus on
oapi-codegen
on Monday (time leftover from Jan/Feb)- Focussed on the middleware repos, and an issue that some teams at work need solving, but took a bit of time to get there as I needed to look into a few things
- But need to have a follow-up day soon, as I still didn't get round to actually solving the one thing I needed to do π
- It's always fun seeing just how long it takes to actually get stuff done - including i.e. digging into an upstream issue with kin-openapi to fix the issue "properly" instead of working around it
- Also led to a very good mood on Tuesday morning, having had a productive day on Monday
- Managed to do some chores like a Sainsburys shop (on Tuesday) and getting the car washed (on Thursday), treating myself to the Sainsburys' Korean sweet-and-spicy sushi and a shake from Chick 'n' Shakes on the way back from the car wash
- Got a sponsorship through from Canonical via Thanks.dev π
- Had a nice drink out with Carol, Chris, Dougie (and Fergus π), Peter and Rach
- Things are continuing to look unclear (safety wise) for the work trip to Las Vegas for Engineering All Hands, and so I started a doc with a number of questions I'd still need answering, and had some other community contributions which is nice - and looking forward to hearing back in the next couple of days what the events team feel
- Been listening to a lot of my "day list" on Spotify, and found some good new songs, including a lot of loops for Hysteria - Direct, Mr FijiWiji
- Done a fair bit of internal doc writing (at work) this week, which has taken a fair bit of time + mental energy but is feeling better now it's done
- Cookie's been cute and somewhat needy this week
- Especially after a couple of days of daycare
- Very much missing the April Fool's mode on Apex Legends
- Somehow missed that there's The Accountant 2 coming out π
- Nice to be getting a chance to stay in touch with some cool folks in the London DevTools community
- Had some good chats with Rhys
- Didn't end up finishing my "lessons learned from EngProd" blog post, yet
In dependency-management-data:
- Finally worked out how to sort out
patch-package
withrenovate-graph
, with a very plosively named blog post - Fixed the build for the -example project
- Started playing around with Cytoscape to visualise usages of a given dependency, based on some work that Paddle have done based on their own dependency data
- And putting together plans for next week's talk at Golang Birmingham
